Paperwork is in Haiti and Yard Sale Success!!

As Joe and I embarked upon this journey, we looked at the cost and had no idea how we were going to raise the amount of money needed to bring both our children home.  We placed our complete faith in the Lord feeling certain He had brought us to meet Ben and Ephtonline and through Him all things are possible.  We are joyous to share with you He is hard at work in our lives.  It is amazing to witness the ways He is transforming this journey.  Believe me, it has not been without crazy twists and turns and delays which provide unending stress, but as always God’s timing is perfect.  Most recently we experienced this when our documents returned from the Haitian Consulate, there final stop here in the US, one day before our adoption coordinator left on a mission trip to Haiti.  She was able to hand deliver our paperwork to Haiti.  Now the paperwork in the US is completed and the time remaining until the children are home with us is in God’s hands.  On the fundraising front, we are raising at an unbelievable pace.  Huge thanks goes out to all of you who have helped us through donations of your money, time, and goods.  After two weekends of garage sales (guess it would be better described as a yard sale because we have every inch of yard covered!) we have raised $3700.  We will be at it for 3 more weeks.  If you have an old piece of furniture you have outgrown and have been thinking of getting rid of just call us and we will haul it away!  We have phone numbers for people wanting to buy old broken computers, a coat tree, and a dresser. Please let us know if you have these items! Lastly, we are hopeful the kids will be moved soon to the crèche in Port-au-Prince.  We were told 1-3 weeks; 1 week ago.  Please join us in praying for them to have a smooth transition into this temporary home, and God’s speed on the process of getting them into our home- finally having our family together.
